WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT AIRDRIE.
Drifting, not just depth
On exposed lots a cleared driveway can drift partly back in while the wind is still up. We time clearing around the wind as well as the snowfall, because clearing into a live drift is wasted work.
Commuter mornings
A lot of Airdrie households need to be out early and on the QEII. Access being usable in the morning is usually the thing that actually matters, and we plan the route with that in mind.
Long newer driveways
Much of Airdrie’s housing stock is newer, with longer driveways and more public frontage per property than an equivalent inner-city Calgary lot. That changes both the time on site and the quote.

Why did my driveway drift back in after you cleared it?
Because the wind was still moving loose snow across open ground. On exposed Airdrie lots that happens even when no new snow is falling. If drifting is a recurring problem at your property, tell us — it changes how we schedule you.
Is the Airdrie deadline the same as Calgary’s?
The applicable sidewalk clearing requirement under Community Standards Bylaw B-09/2012 is 24 hours, the same length as Calgary’s — but it is a different bylaw, and you should confirm the requirement for your address with the City of Airdrie.
